REQUIREMENTS

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA or equivalent
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS 
Non-native English speakers are required to have attained an English proficiency level of TOEFL 527 (paper-based)/71 (internet-based) or IELTS 5.0 or above.

Application procedures

•Home institution will inform NCCU of their selected students in accordance with the mutually agreed number of exchange places

•Exchange students fill out the application form and submit to the following address: commrd@nccu.edu.tw.

Visa application

Students need to arrange their visa.  Please refer to the following website for visa information: http://www.boca.gov.tw

Supporting documents

We kindly ask the nominated students to complete the following two steps:

Step 1
Please submit the following documents to commrd@nccu.edu.tw by April 1, 2026:

  1. Application form (see attached)

  2. Photocopy of the identification page of the national passport

  3. Official Academic transcript

  4. English proficiency test results

  5. A digital passport-sized photo (This photo will be used to produce the student ID card. Please do not submit casual or daily-life photos. The file format should be JPG or JPEG, with a file size not exceeding 2MB. The background must be white, and hats or dark-colored glasses are not allowed.)

Insurance

Insurance requirements

We strongly suggest that all students include themselves in a medical insurance and this insurance should cover all medical expenses during their stay in Taiwan.

Fees

Fees payable

The application fees and regular tuition fees of the host college are waived for a visiting student during his/her exchange period. All other costs (for example, meals, lodging, travel, required medical insurance, books, personal spending, incidental university fees, and, if any, language course tuition) will be the responsibility of the exchange student. According to contract, for exchange students, the tuition is free. 

If students stay at the on campus dorm, they are required to pay the accommodation fee, deposit (NTD$1000, only stay in the on campus dorm, you may refund the deposit when leaving the on campus dorm), and Student Safety Insurance Fee.   The actual price will be shown on the registration payment.
