Professor Chin-chuan Lee was a distinguished alumnus of the Department of Journalism at National Chengchi University and an internationally renowned communication scholar. He devoted many years to the study of political communication and Chinese media, making a profound impact on the global field of communication studies. Professor Lee previously taught at the University of Minnesota and City University of Hong Kong. In 2019, he returned to NCCU as a Yushan Scholar, continuing his dedication to teaching, research, and international academic exchange. His contributions to the development of the College of Communication at NCCU were truly remarkable.
Professor Lee was deeply respected for his academic excellence and humanistic concern. Throughout his career, he generously supported and mentored younger scholars and students. He also donated scholarships to encourage students to broaden their international perspectives, earning the deep admiration and affection of faculty and students alike. His sudden passing is a great loss to the academic community and to NCCU alumni. To commemorate Professor Lee’s lifelong achievements, distinguished character, and outstanding contributions, the College of Communication at National Chengchi University will hold a memorial service in his honor. We sincerely invite faculty members, alumni, and friends from all sectors to join us in remembrance.
