On April 1, the NCCU delegation made its first stop at the National University of Singapore (NUS). They were hosted by Dr. Natalie Pang, Head of the Department of Communications and New Media, alongside Professors Dr. Shaohai Jiang and Dr. Renyi Hong. Both parties exchanged insights on their respective development directions and engaged in concrete discussions regarding future cooperation frameworks.
The following day, the delegation visited Nanyang Technological University (NTU), meeting with Dr. Jack Qiu Linchuan, Chair of the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, and Director Pei Wen Wong. The delegation toured the school’s newsroom, studios and recording facilities, being impressed with appreciation for the students’ hands-on experience in international journalism. The two sides shared their experiences in international collaboration and expressed mutual interest in increasing exchange opportunities for faculty and students.
Dean Hsiu-Hui Sun noted that the performance of Singaporean universities in academic resource integration and international competitiveness is globally recognized. She expressed hope to draw upon their internationalization experiences through this visit and plans to strengthen bilateral exchanges to enhance the global influence of the NCCU College of Communication.
