In view of departmental integration within the College of Communication, the Master's Programs in "Journalism," "Advertising" and "Radio & Television" have been reconstituted into the "Master's Program of Communication" starting from the 2014 academic year. The program curriculum has been designed to integrate educational resources within the College, to expand and innovate existing fields of knowledge, and to provide advanced training for young professionals who are preparing to enter the communications industry. To better address industry trends and provide students with a more comprehensive learning environment, the program will be offering a wide range of highly specialized academic courses in seven concentrations: "Communications and Culture", "Journalism and Communication", " Imagination, Narrative, and Interaction", "Telecommunication Policy and Management", "Integrated Communication", "China Studies in Communications" , "Science and Risk Communication". Students are also encouraged to engage in self-directed learning by designing their own curriculum on condition of receiving the approval of their academic advisors as well as the College of Communication.
