IMICS alumnus Eli Kao will hold a discussion on the fascinating field of non-fiction media production! This talk will also feature a brief look at the current market landscape for this type of content and will provide more depth into what goes into producing for TV networks like Discovery or National Geographic.
Based on his experience working at as a producer at an international production company, Eli will take attendees on a behind-the-scenes tour of the program-making process: from research & pitching, pre-production & shooting, to editing & post-production.
The discussion will also include script-writing strategies, ethical considerations, and stories from the field. Students are very welcome to ask questions and participate.
The guest speaker event will be held in Room 406, DaYong building from 12:00 to 13:00 PM on Tuesday, December 6. All students are encouraged to attend. The deadline for registration is December 2, at 12:00 PM.
